Jena Franz

Lead Coach – General Manager

Jena was a competitive gymnast for eleven years and also competed at the collegiate level in pole vaulting. With a passion for athletics, she decided to pursue fitness as a career.

Jena obtained her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership for Sports Management at Winona State University in Minnesota. Jena has worked with a wide range of clients and over 10,000 hours of personal training, coaching, and programming experience. When not in the gym you can find Jena playing with Marshall, her puppy, hiking, or spending time with friends and family.

Kara Wolley

Coach

Kara is a Colorado native who lives for fresh air above treeline.  Kara began her athletic adventures at the age of 8 as a competitive swimmer which continued through college.  Since then, Kara has found her love of the ”runner’s high” adventuring over Colorado peaks, completing various distances of races ranging from marathons to 50 milers.  When she puts her trails shoes down, Kara can be found doing long distance open water swims, full triathlons, climbing or lifting heavy things (and putting them back down again).  With a firm belief of form over function, and a degree in Human Physiology, Kara attributes much of her success on trails to the training she does with a kettlebell. Kara approaches coaching with the aim of combining her training in medical research with her experience in endurance athletics to aid others in crossing the finish line of their dreams.  As a certified endurance coach, Kara will turn goals to accomplishments with a few humorous moments in between.

”There is no mountain you can’t climb, you simply have to know why you are climbing it.”

Jenna Poppenhagen

Coach

Jenna has been coaching since 2014. Her journey started in CrossFit, but she has been expanding her knowledge in the world of strength and conditioning ever since. Before finding fitness, she was a classical singer/aspiring rock star, and only dabbled in light exercise. This lack of former physical prowess helped shape her coaching style and her love for the transformational potential of fitness for not only the body, but the mind and heart. When she’s not in the gym she enjoys cooking tasty foods, riding dirt bikes with her husband, playing board games with friends, and, of course, snuggling her chihuahua, Peanut.

Zac Lokay

Coach

Zac has spent his whole life playing soccer, even playing at a DIII level at the University of Puget Sound
and going as far as Sweden to play semi-professionally. While at school, Zac majored in Exercise Science
with a Neuroscience Emphasis. Zac has worked with a wide range of athletes of various ages and skill
levels, doing sports performance for athletes of all ages from 11 to college aged. He has also helped lead
group classes for people of all different experience levels.
When not in the gym, you can find Zac coaching and playing soccer, dabbling in guitar and piano,
enjoying hiking the Colorado wilderness, and on a very rare occasion playing a very poor round of golf.

Daniel Cabral

Coach

Originally from California, Daniel grew up playing travel baseball and has been lifting weights since 2012. Daniel considers himself a jack of all trades having explored several facets of fitness such as long distance trail running, olympic lifting, yoga and calisthenics. Daniel has coached over 2,000 hours of group fitness classes and is always looking to become both a better trainer and athlete. When not in the gym; Daniel enjoys hiking, drawing, drinking craft beer and spending time with his girlfriend, Ksenia and their 2 dogs, Agua and Archer.

Karen Harbour

Coach – Owner

Karen is co-founder and owner at Bella Strength. She brings with over one hundred hours of various fitness certifications, and over 20 years of instruction. She has taught well over 10,000 classes to more than 100,000 people of all ages and fitness levels.

After experimenting and coaching so many different fitness routines over the years, Karen witnessed numerous overuse injuries from bad movement pattern and no real plan on how to achieve your goals. Her frustration with unsustainable results in the fitness industry grew into a deep passion to help people not only get fit, but stay fit for life.

At 40, Karen is stronger, fitter, and more confident than ever. She attributes this to eating clean, meal prepping and following a sustainably smart, simple and safe strength and conditioning program consisting of squats, deadlifts, pushes, pulls, gymnastics and proper mobility work. Karen strongly believes these fundamental movements are critical to living healthy, and they make up the foundation of the programming at BST.

Jon Harbour

Coach – Owner

Jon brings with him a solid background of training and programming experience and has accumulated well over 2500 hours of training and coaching experience. He holds a number of different coaching certifications and has trained under and worked with several world renowned coaches in the strength and conditioning field, including Drew Ash, Dan Wilson, John Wolfe, Erik Melland, Chris Duffin, CJ Martin, and Mike Burgener. Jon’s passion lies in developing sustainable results for his clients through smart, simple and effective programming (kettle bells + ropes + sleds) and proper movement mechanics (Turkish get-ups). He loves seeing his clients push through challenges to achieve things they never imagined possible. Jon’s hobbies include Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, backcountry hunting, fly fishing and of course beer drinking while playing guitar. When not in the gym training or coaching, Jon enjoys spending time in the Colorado mountains with his beautiful wife Karen, and two horrible dogs, Hector and Rudy.
